Anyone who has had extensive surgery soon realizes that recovery to a level of “normalcy” is not directed from the insertion of an arthroscope or precision of a traditional open incision; it is the skillful, knowledgeable, and expert manipulation of a skilled Physical Therapist that will make you whole again. The therapists at Cape Atlantic Physical Therapy gave me the quality of my life back! Over a three year period of time, I had three major shoulder surgeries involving full thickness rotator cuff tears, bicep tendon tears, labrum tears, numerous anchor insertions, and massive bone spurs which were removed in both shoulders. The therapists at Cape Atlantic designed and implemented a treatment procedure plan for my rehabilitation with goals for full recovery regardless of the surgical prognosis. If I was willing to work; they were driven to help me succeed. Nikki, Walt, Betsy and Christina have extraordinary knowledge about surgical procedures and are relentless in their pursuit of your full recovery of strength and range of motion. Their plans are designed with post operate haste, efficiency, attention to you as an individual and a “positive can do” attitude. You will soon feel apart of their extended family every time you see them. You matter as a person and they will not let you give up on yourself. I am back in the gym full-time with no restrictions from any surgeons or therapists pushing weights that I moved ten years ago doing the physical things that I have loved to do all of my life. As the only person I know who has been to CAPT for physical therapy, I am also the only person I know who looked forward to her three-times- per-week physical therapy sessions. The connection is clear: the staff at CAPT bring not only expertise but also enjoyment and humor to their interactions with their patients. By definition, physical therapy involves the painful process of transforming an injured body into one in working order. Commitment on the part of both therapist and patient makes the experience a successful one. While Christine was my assigned therapist, if she was unable to oversee my session, the professional and constant vigilance of Betsy and Nikki never left me feeling ignored or confused about the work that needed to be done. Christine even gave me exercises I could do at home so that I didn’t lose the progress I had made while my insurance company decided I really did need the additional sessions the doctor had ordered. The irreverent, cheerful and competent attitudes of these therapists, combined with Lori’s ability to multi-task with insurance companies via telephone while scheduling appointments to meet my needs made rehabilitation at CAPT the best part of being injured. I have been a patient at Cape Atlantic Physical Therapy many times since Walter first opened for business. During those times I have received exceptional treatment each time. Under Walter's guidance I have watched Nikki, Christine and Betsy develop into dedicated, experienced and caring therapists. From the Administrative staff of Lisa and Lori to the Physical Therapists, Walter, Nikki and Christine and Physical Therapy Assistant, Betsy, you have the feeling they really care about your personal treatment and having a positive outcome. Even the Physical Therapist student, Brynn is highly qualified. This speaks volumes about Nikki having only the best at C.A.P.T. -There is no doubt in my mind that Nikki will continue the same top-notch service. A month ago I fell, and after x-rays and an MRI, it was determined that I had fractured my pelvis. Since there is no operation for this injury the orthopedic doctor prescribed physical therapy. A friend had recommended Cape Atlantic Physical Therapy of Linwood, N. J. The first thing they did was to give me a complete evaluation by a therapist. They then set up a schedule for therapy at their facility, and an exercise program that I would do at home. I found that everyone at Cape Atlantic Physical Therapy to be very caring and indeed very professional. I went from depending upon a walker to a cane in no time at all. In general I have been feeling real good after the treatments. If you unfortunately have the need for physical therapy I would highly recommend Cape Atlantic Physical Therapy. I am taking this opportunity to express how grateful I am for the services and outstanding resources that you had offered me throughout my recovery period. I have returned to this facility several times in the course of my injuries that included; two cervical fusions, two shoulder surgeries (right shoulder- a torn rotator cuff with acromioplasty and a left frozen shoulder), fracture of tibia/ fibula surgery with an open reduction internal fixation (two plates and eight screws) for therapy. Your willingness to listen to each complaint that was voiced prompted further evaluation of my neck, resulting in a cervical fusion surgery. The education provided while in therapy for one to understand the purpose of the exercise made one feel comfortable and eager to continue. The sense of humor during thereapy made the process effective. The home program prepared for one instructing how to reach maximum benefit and what to use at home to help doing these exercises was very helpful. Each staff member, from receptionist to the therapists and owner had that special touch to make the time there enjoyable despite the physical limitations I had. The people skills are superb. I will not go anywhere else, but to Cape Atlantic Physical Therapy. I refuse to leave behind the warmth, compassion, dedication and all of the support that you provided, which in turn helped me with a prompt recovery (I was always ahead of the proposed recovery schedule). I have the utmost confidence in your services. I definately will return in the event that I needed therapy again, besides recommending it to everybody. |

I could not be more satisfied with Cape Atlantic PT! I had a complicated injury and the staff has been fantastic. They are very knowledgeable, thorough, and also have great personalities! The physical therapists and the office staff work hard to make the experience as beneficial as they can. I had a very positive experience each time I received treatment at Cape Atlantic Physical Therapy. It didn't matter which therapist I saw the treatment experience was a pleasant one. Treatments were consistent each time I came. If I had additional pain, heat or ice were offered first. I continually recommend Cape Atlantic to all of my friends and family. ~Peri Pantazes 8/11/10 |

The friendly, courteous and efficient staff is very accommodating regarding scheduling and knowledgable about insurance requirements. I was very impressed by the thoroughness of my initial evaluation. It is clear that the physical therapists are well educated and take the time to let the patient know why they are experiencing pain or discomfort and what they can expect from his/ her treatment. I was most impressed because my surgeon had not explained the circumstances of my condition/ surgery at all. I was learning it for the first time at my evaluation, which greatly allayed my anxiety. The general atmosphere of the facility is relaxed, comfortable and friendly. The staff remembers your name and makes you feel welcome. The music is fun, not distracting or offensive. The Cape Atlantic Physical Therapy is facility is clean, well lit and has all the equipment necessary to speed recovery. Care is taken to make each therapy session as comfortable and sanitary as possible. The Physical Therapists are very knowledgable and have advanced degrees. They explain what they expected outcome should be, given the therapy task assigned. No matter how many patients are in the facility, you are monitored effectively through each exercise. A copy of follow up exercises is given to do at home between therapy sessions. Upon returning, you are asked about your current physical condition. I have been a returning patient for 15 years. I have faith and confidence in the staff to return me to optimal physical health after every injury or surgery, which it has. I cannot say enough good things about Cape Atlantic Physical Therapy. The staff is continually acquiring new knowledge to keep abreast of the most current techniques in physical therapy to provide the utmost care to its patients. I have, would and will continue to recommend Cape Atlantic Physical Therapy to anyone who is in need of such services. Dear Staff, I want to thank everyone at CAPT for their help and expertise during my recent therapy program. I look forward to my visits and was welcomed cheerfully by Lori, Lisa and others in Reception and by all of the physical therapists. I was very impressed with your state of the art facility. I felt very fortunate to have the wonderful care, support and encouragement by your knowledgable and expert team. I appreciated the fact that you always worked together as a team in assisting all the patients. You were always there with a smile, a joke or a welcoming greeting for all of us, no matter who you were working with on that day. From my inital evaluation with Nikki and her creation of an appropriate program for me through my continued treamtent, I felt like you all really cared about me and did everything you could to accomplish my goals. I feel much stronger now and will continue to exercise at home. I thank you for sending me home with an extensive program of exercises and equipment. | I have been a patient with Cape Atlantic on and off for the past 10 years. I started with some back pain, had rotator cuff surgery, frozen shoulder and more recently tennis elbow. I have been coming back over each time because of the knowledge of the staff and the care they give to each and everyone who comes in the door. I have recommeded them to others and they have also been pleased. The staff are courteous and always make you feel welcome. If in the future as I age, I know that my body will require some more physical therapy to keep it running well, I will come back to Cape Atlantic Physical therapy. | |||

I will say this place is truly like no other. Coming from another place that claimed to take care of there patients to this place was a major bonus on my part not only did I get the care I needed but also alot of respect from the staff.
