Cape Atlantic Physical Therapy Raises $7000 for Gildas Club South Jersey:
10/3/09: The staff of Cape Atlantic Physical Therapy along with close too 100 friends, family members and patients got together for a day of fun and fundraising. The first ever Cape Atlantic Physical Therapy walk for charity took place along a four mile stretch of the Linwood/ Somers Point bike path. Walkers began at the C.A.P.T. office and ended at Gregory's Restaurant and Bar in Somers Point. Walk organizers, Nikki Witkoski and Lori Wagner, set out with a goal of raising $5000 for a local charity. They met with Gilda's Club in late July to ask them to be the recepient of their fundraiser. The two organizations became unified and were determined to make the walk a success. The support of the patients and local businesses put our goal within reach. In the week before the walk it became clear we would be able to reach our goal through generous donations and those registering to participate in the event. The turnout for the walk was amazing! Even the threat of rain couldn't keep our friends from joining us for this wonderful cause. At the end of the day $7000 had been raised!! Nikki and Lori and the rest of the staff of Cape Atlantic Physical Therapy want to thank Gregory's, Ocean City Home Bank, walk participants and the many generous donators who made this possible. |
